Here are a few what if scenarios this book paints that will tickle your what if, really? well what would happen button:
-WW2 jews got acceptance somewhere on their way of Germany on the many boats that went no where but back to Germany. These Jews ended up in Alaska of all places.
-They are now referred to as the Frozen Chosen people.
-Now Jews are about to loose the temporary home there.
-The book is about some Jewish detective in Alaska with a half jewish half Eskimo partner (common thing to inter marry there)
-The assignment is to figure out a murder case and "investigate a fascinating underworld of Orthodox black-hat gangs and crime-lord rabbis".
