They have created nothing but a oh-by-the-way melodrama out of a saga that took 40 years to unravel.
With every breathtaking fact taking up to a year to reveal.
Sure its a movie so take liberty with the original plot and re-invent it, no need to stick to the binding original,
but has anyone ever heard of character development?

That's how these things go. Medium conversions should not be compared to the original. How does one even begin to compare a film to a comic book? And the wave of comic-to-film conversions is just milking it for what it's worth. I'll happily compare it to the film-to-videogame conversions. Which fail because they are made for the wrong reasons.
